This Summer I Am Grateful

This summer, more than ever, I am grateful for electricity, air conditioning and municipal water supplies.

I hope that we get rain in short time to keep the farmers' crops viable.

Today I Am Grateful

For EMS workers everywhere.

Someone on our street had a wee tumble and needed to be taken to the ER.  I'm extra grateful the EMS guys took very good care.

That 4 months ago, before Mr. Miche was off on a long highway drive, he checked his tires.  Thankfully he noticed a defect in the tires before he left and he opted not to use that care for the trip.

At What Point

should one stop trying to find things to be grateful about in a situation, and get off their but and do something about it?

Just curious.

Today I Am Grateful

Although a household in our neighbourhood clearly doesn't understand that not everyone wants to listen his radio station when we're enjoying the great outdoors, I am grateful that it's a station I can stomach and it doesn't go on into the wee hours of the night.

(But it doesn't stop me from wishing I could create a bubble to keep out other people's noise.)

I Tried To Make The World A Better Place

By baking cookies with wM to bring to an eldery couple in the neighbourhood.

They were very appreciative that we thought about them and that we remembered one of their favourite cookie types! We stayed and they had a nice chat and visit with wM.

While I felt good for the moment, upon returning home, I couldn't help but think that maybe we should be doing more for them.

Unfortunately, there's limited time and limited energy. Something has to be better than nothing.

For fevers abating, televisions and TVO kids.
