I hear you girlfriend.

Thanks ladies.

I'm a little embarrassed to be leaning on either of you for support, though. Both of your loads appear so much heavier than mine! I'm amazed at how well y'all manage.

Just don't do it! I will be secretly grateful to you for being a voice of reason. I think the preschool party circuit is baffling in its excess. It really weirds me out.

I'm feeling that way, myself. I know from whence you speak.

Don't feel badly for leaning on us for support (even though I'm late picking this post up) because that's what friends do for each other.

We're here if you need to talk.

Just ditch the party circuit if you have to. It is meant to be fun, not an obligation. Honestly, the things are usually so chaotic that no-one remembers who attended and who did not. Hugs.

Thanks KLee and Jen.

I think my inability to cope has more to do with my own perceived insecurities than anything else. Hosting and organizing events are not strong points for me. I feel like I measure up to the other moms sometimes.

And selfishly, I'm resenting losing what little "me" time I have left.

Thankfully the wee one is too wee to know that she's been invited and declined! (I suspect that's all going to change real soon!)
