a slice of life with Miche
Posting as a means to vent into the void.
I've got loving, caring people in my life and am well supported by them.
Venting posts are temporary and will be removed in time.

Eeek. I sure hope they're using non-phthalate-containing nail polish on those two and four year olds.
Yikes! I'm a 27 year old who has never had a manicure. I don't think I was even allowed to wear the peel-off nailpolish until I was 10.
PS: don't bet your boots!
Heather: I've never had a mani- or pedi- either. Maybe we should get together and treat ourselves sometime!
Ok, I know the whole four year old trend to get manicures is a little, well, let's just say, for better or worse, people are doing it. And a lot of people.
I kind of like the idea, not so much that my child will be wearing nail polish at 3, but I think mommies can do colours on their kids toes...and you know what? They love it. It's fun for them and it's a real mother/daughter bonding experience. I know that sounds weird, but once you see your child's face light up because she loves it, it kind of makes you happy.
And trust me, I never wear a stick of make-up ever...
But toe nail polish I think is ok for little ones. No one really sees it anyway, and they feel special...and, you don't really have to shell out the dough...you can just do it on your child yourself. they're not too picky if you mess up....
And do it as a special treat....really, it is kind of fun.
Hi Rebecca! And welcome aboard!
I agree that mother / daughter bonding experiences are tremendously important. (Although to Phantom's point, I hope they're using safer water-based nail polishes rather than the xylene or phthalate containing products.)
Hrm. Sounds like it's time for me to start formulating a bonding strategy.....
